The Mukherjee family's daughter, Maya, is engaged to Nanda but notices his growing attraction to Shukla. Maya convinces Shukla to help, and Shukla successfully reunites Maya and Nanda. However, Maya's mother dislikes Shukla. Shukla then falls in love with Maya's brother, Dilip, but faces opposition from Dilip's mother.
